  2. We woke up to having all three of our cats laying in our tree. Everything was off of it and they were having a good time playing with all the ornaments.

  4. My family has always used fake trees. When I first bought my house and got my first tree I was really excited. When I put it together it just didn't look right. So I went and bought another tree. That didn't look right either. Took me a while to figure out I was putting in the top piece upside down.

  5. The only thing that's ever happened with the tree was not funny. There was a nest of spiders in the tree and when I went to put lights on the tree, they exploded onto my face, hair, arms, everything. AAAHHHHH! Still traumatized. lol

  6. Yes I do! We have a toy train that goes around our tree. When Gabby was 1, she used to scream and cry every time we'd turn that train on. Her twin sister Tessa would go crazy & excited and tear the train apart & scatter its parts under the tree. That was when they were 1 years old then, lol.

  7. One year my dad insisted on getting a tree that was really fat turns out the stump was really crooked, it was way to big for our room, and he had the hardest time putting it up. After all his hard work one night only a couple days before xmas right before we all went to bed my dog was checking out the christmas tree and it fell over and ornaments were everywhere! My dad was sooo angry and needless to say that was the last year we ever let him pick the tree. 🙂

Last year my teen daughter brought in the tree stand got the tree up and decorated when we noticed it was really leaning to the right Next thing you know the tree is on the floor and everything is spread out in a 12 foot radius.Water also my little darling had brought in the broken stand that should of been through away instead of the new one.So we got it all put back together tensions high.So this year were having our very first fake tree so we'll see if that's easier.

  12. We lost one on the highway one year. My mom didn't tie it down good enough. Luckily nobody got hurt. The tree ended up with all the branches broken on the one side. We put that side towards the wall when we got home.

  13. I unfortunately do not have many vivid images of many "happy" Christmas's past, but there was one thing that was always wonderful. We could not afford a big tree, but the way my mother put the tree up on a crate, placed drapes around the crate, and with all the wonderful decorations it appeared (from the outside) that we had the wonderful, large, "expensive", beautifully decorated tree that the neighbors enjoyed seeing. It made be feel so special to know my mother did what she could to make our holidays enjoyable!

  14. Well we learned that one of the cats found tinsel to be a tasty treat and ate a piece of it and luckily it passed completely and did not cause any issues. No one knew she ate it until we saw something shiny sticking out of her rear end! The tree has been without tinsel ever since.

  16. Don't really have a funny Christmas tree story. We just make sure to secure the tree to the wall with fishing line in several places to prevent any mishaps from the kiddos and pets.

  17. My friend brought a kitten home and she put up her tree and then she couldn't find her kitten. She looked for about an hour and then she looked at the tree and she had a new ornament it looked like. A kitty face sitting on the branch not moving just staring! lol 😛

  18. Last year my black kitten was so scared of it then he decided that he was a present the best one of them all some how he had moved the presents farther back and decided to lay right under the tree in perfect sight he even got off one of the ribbons which I am guessing he played with cause it was shredded somewhat..

  19. I went to get a tree at Target one yr. I paid for it and the guy was putting and tying it in the back of my truck. I looked in my mirror and didn't see him so I started to drive away. When I'm in my truck and I have Christmas music on it's always loud just the way I like it. At a stop light the guy from Target is knocking on my driver's side window and yelling at me. I roll my window down and he told me he was still tying my tree down in the back of my truck when I took off with him in it. Thankfully I was in the parking area at a red light and not driving on the busy street. I was soooo embarassed! I gave him a tip. I now have a fake tree. LOL!! Thank you for the great giveaway! 🙂

  25. Fishing the cat out of the Christmas tree. You haven't lived until you try to remove your pet from the inner branches of the tree. Not only does the cat fight you so does the tree. As an added bonus you get to put back all the ornaments and garland that has come off during the struggle.

  26. one time when i was a little girl, my older brother stuck me inside the tree, my mom was freak'n out because she had no idea where i was and my brother stood there with a worried face, as he dragged the tree into the house my mom is screaming where is she where is she, the funny part was that my brother forgot to mention us having to go up the stairs and we got to the highest one and i couldn't hold on any longer, neither to say , my mom was happy n a bit upset, me well i got a bump on my head LOLL but we all laughed and sang together as we decorated the tree ; )

  28. I honestly don't have any funny christmas stories. I can tell you when I was younger that for about 4 or 5 christmas eves in a row, something would happen in our apartment. Like one night there was a water leak from upstairs and it caved in my parents bedroom ceiling. LOL. We had a string of bad luck for a while but it didn't ever ruin anything.

  29. We use to get real Christmas trees and I use to get upset because we never got a frosted one so one night mom had to much to drink and she said she saw a recipe for the frost and she whipped it up into a couple of bowls and we were to throw it on the tree however everyone started throwing it all over the living room and each other it turned into a real mess it looked like a blizzard went through there. Thank you for the giveaway. Happy Holidays!

  30. The only funny thing was one Christmas my sister and I sent out the same exact Christmas cards. I live on one side of the US and she lives on the other side. How weird was that?

  31. no i really don't have any stories and i've never had a real tree yet... i guess the closest story i have is that my cat climbed part of the artificial tree and sat on its branches.

  37. I don't have a crazy funny story. The only thing embarrasing that happened was when I was at my boyfriends parents for christmas and my sweater got caught on the tree. It started unraveling and and i pulled and tugged and almost knocked the entire tree down! Since I am always accident prone the only thing I could do was laugh.

  38. We still tell the story every Christmas about the year my gran's tree fell on her. We were all there for her annual party and it fell over onto her chair. Everyone was laughing so hard it took a few minutes to get the tree off of her.

  39. Not really, I dont remember a lot lately (4 pregnancies in 4 years kinda shot my memory) But one year My little brother was sick one christmas and had to be in the hospital and when he came home he has this huge smile on his face, he looked at all the rest and said a fireman that worked for santa came and visited me in the hospital. He brought me a HUGE train set. Then smiled again and looked at us and said, maybe I should get sick at Christmas more often, Santa was so worried he got me even MORE presents... It was just so funny to see this sick little kid (I think he was 8) saying hes going to get sick more so he could get more presents.

  40. Yes, I was about 6 and one of the children in a Christmas play at school. We were dressed as reindeer. Everything went fine, until my pants fell down around my knees. I wasn't too embarrassed, but I know my 10-year-old sister was, who was watching it all unfold. 🙂

  41. I don't have any funny stories like yours about Christmas trees. I do remember my dad and I always arguing about icicles on the tree. I think they are awful but he loved them - the more the better!!

  43. My Dad starts to keep his eye out for a Christmas tree to cut down beginning in the summer. We have a hunting shack near Canada and he had picked out a beautiful tree that he knew he wanted to cut for us that Christmas. When he went out to cut it down.... A MOOSE had walked over it to use to scratch its belly! My Dad cut it down anyway! hahaha 🙂 It's the best Christmas tree story we have in our family, and I'm so glad he got the tree no matter what! 🙂
