Keep Your Favorite Memories with Trunq
A great digital scrapbook app
Review done by Powered by Mom team member Missy.
There are thousands of photo apps available online, giving your information and then using up all your phone’s (or tablet) memory. Trunq is a new app that will not only help you organize your photos, create some fabulous albums, it also won’t take up all of your device’s memory. Trunq is available as iOS, Android app and on desktop!
Trunq is a photo app that allows the user to send and receive memories with just a click of a button. It also allows you to bundle photos and videos to share. You can even upload now and send later.
This sounds a little complicated, right? It’s not. Think of scrapbooking, only digital. Photos, memories, videos…it can all be saved on one app, no worries about crashing computers, stolen cell phones or lost thumb drives. Trunq has thought of it all!
I’m still learning about this app, but it is a great idea! I’m really excited to see all the possibilities with my photos. I’d actually like to make bundles for each of my recipes, my kids’ school events, our family projects and our vacations. Then, with each bundle of photos, I can send them to my mom and sisters easily.
The more I play with Trunq, the more I like it. Again, I’m still learning, but say you take a picture of your baby at the beach. You can then edit the picture, add fun texts and draw fun designs (if you wish) and then send it to any and all of your contacts….right from the app! Could it get any simpler?
Just a few of the things that make Trunq so awesome:
Unlike social media, it allows users to share and save their best things privately. This can be a real benefit to parents who don’t want to broadcast their kid’s videos or pictures all over social media but want to share with a select group of trusted friends and family members.
Parents can set up a Trunq for their kids. The parent then can save digital files about that child to the child’s Trunq. Over time, the Trunq will become a digital scrapbook for that child that can be passed on to the child when he or she is older.
One unique feature of Trunq is the ability to send “Laters.” When a user sends a message, it can be sent so that it opens immediately or opens up to a year in the future. The sender wraps up the Later This is a great way to highlight a special day like a birthday or holiday, or make any day fun. For example, parents can send a message of encouragement before an event. Here is a video of how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dr2dG3KjxgE.
I’m always looking for the easiest way to save my memories. This app is perfect in every way. I can upload, share, save and edit memories all in one convenient place. I know that if this app was around 15 years ago, I wouldn’t have so many photo albums in my spare room. I was actually looking at them today wishing the photos weren’t faded or blurry. This app will also save me time and money printing out thousands and thousands of pictures.
The idea of Trunq is that with little effort, over time, users can build a private, digital “trunq” of curated moments that can be viewed anywhere. Think about all the possibilities. Organizing photos and events would be a no-brainer. Digital cookbooks can actually happen, along with photos. I know that would be extremely handy!
Watching your babies as they grow up has never been easier (well, it’s always hard to see them grow up) but saving the memories – and your phone memory – is worth everything. I know my kids have grown up way too fast and going back to make all my photos, newspaper clippings and videos digital is so time consuming. If I had the Trunq app all those years ago, I could just flip through memory lane and share memory lane with my friends and family.

You’ll find this app so easy to use you probably won’t even need to look at the video 🙂
They are running a contest for the month of May. Trunq members can win a $200 or $100 debit card or other prizes just by sending a Later. For contest rules go to: https://www.trunq.com/latercontest!

I used to scrapbook a lot in my preteen years, it was fun. I never heard of digital scrapbooking but it looks like something I would enjoy now that I am older and need to spark my creativity. Thank you! 🙂
