King Kong Folding Camping Chairs Review

in Reviews on 05/26/14

Powered by Mom Blog brings you a King Kong Folding Camping Chair Review

Do you love the great outdoors? Whether it’s your back yard, the park or going camping the King Kong Folding Camping Chairs from BrylaneHome will become your favorite chair!

Folding Camping Chairs

When the weather is nice we love to be outside especially in our back yard but we also like to go to the park and we do go camping. My hubby in particular LOVES to camp and as a result over the years we’ve gone through a lot of folding camping chairs. Of course any folding camping chairs we’ve owned over the years have not lasted very long. I admit we are tough on our outdoor equipment as they get used a lot and we’re a rough and tumble group sometimes. As well we do live in the pacific north west which means rain, sometimes a lot of rain and that means that our gear like outdoor folding camping chairs can end up in the rain sometimes for a few days at a time!

Well let me tell you those cheap folding camping chairs are not well made, they’re cheap for a reason, you know the ones I mean. You unfold them and they feel like they’re going to tip to one side and/or the material is really thin. Well I’m happy to say that’s not the case of the BrylaneHome King Kong Camping Chairs! Those chairs are tough, maybe even tougher than us. My husband who is the camping gear critic was impressed with them immediately. They are heavier than those cheap ones as they’re built solid with a powder-coated steel frame and cushioned polyester khaki canvas. The canvas is thick and the chairs are very comfortable to sit in.

They come in their own carrying cases as you can see below.

king kong chair 2

I can easily see how these King Kong Folding Camping Chairs holds up to 800lbs. Yes you’re reading that right it holds up to that much, my daughter sat on this chair with me and it was even roomier than we thought and there was no sagging of the seating. We even accidentally left one of the chairs out one night and of course it rained over night. I brushed off the chair of any leaves and it still looks brand new.

Overall we are very happy with these extremely solid and durable folding camping chairs from BrylaneHome. I think they will even outlast my family as they are so well made. One thing I know for sure is they will be well used as they’ll be the first chairs we pull out for any outdoor activity we’ve got coming. They’ve already been used at the park and are set up outside now for our next bbq!

Here’s the 411 on these chairs:

  •  extra-wide 24” seat
  • high backrest
  • side pocket cooler
  • powder-coated steel frame and cushioned polyester khaki canvas
  • compact design folds quickly & fits in 7” x 41” bag
  • dimensions: 38”W x 20”D x 38”H

Thanks BrylaneHome we love everything we have from you so far for both inside and outside our home! Enter our giveaway for one of these awesome chairs HERE ends 6/4 US Only.

I got a free folding up chair when I signed up with a new bank and it’s cheap!! Now of course I didnt pay for it but still. I never really sat in it, even when I was a size 6, because it was uncomfortable and always tipped. This chair sounds wonderful…my husband was reading over my shoulder and he would really like this chair!! It would be nice to finally have a chair that we can take places (like a bonfire) and not have to worry about it breaking or tipping over. I love this chair holds up to 800lbs!! Mine, I believes, holds up to 150?? I also like that there is extra room for your butt…i have quite a big butt lol

The carrying case would be really handy because he often walks several blocks from his house to the pier to fish. Even though he’s not a very big guy, he’s broken the last folding chair he had. I don’t think that would be a problem with this chair! Thanks for the review.

I like that they have a really wide seat and the cooler too. Overall they look like they will last many years and are very sturdily built. I would rather spend a little more to buy something that will last a very long time, than buy something really cheap that you will be throwing away in a year or maybe two. Also it looks like the fabric is really heavy and the 800 lb rating is definitely impressive.

We are outside every available moment and use camping chairs often. We only have 2 though and their are 4 of us. It’s a race to see who gets one!

These chairs sound great! Much better than the cheap camping chairs I purchased last Summer. I bought a few of the cheap camping chairs last year for my family to sit on while camping thinking they would last the Summer but one broke the very same day and had to be thrown away and the others ripped and tore shortly after purchasing them. These chairs sound like much better quality chairs.

I agree with you that the ‘cheap’ chairs are cheap for a reason. We’ve gone through our share of them through the years. This chair might just be on my summer buy list. I love that it’s padded, more sturdy, and that cooler pocket would be very handy. I’d much rather spend money on a quality product that will handle the abuse our chairs go through camping, than repeatedly buy new ‘cheap’ ones that last one season of hard use and bad weather.

These look sturdy. Usually, I avoid this type of chair because I fear it’ll tip over! But these look really well constructed.

I love that it is for bigger people. Most chairs like these are super flimsy and uncomfortable. I would like to have one to read outside with.

I have always shied away from getting folding chairs for outdoor events due to the fact that they do not last long, but after this review about the King Kong chairs i might change my mind.

I think everyone needs a couple of chairs like this. There are so many times you want to go to Summertime outdoor parties or events and seating always seems to be at a premium. The fact that they’re in their own carrying case makes them so easy to just throw in the trunk and take with you just in case!

I like that they will hold up to 800 pounds. I also like the idea of the cooler on the side. I have a couple chairs that are similar and cost $40 each but they only lasted us 2 years before something went wrong with them. Time for some new ones!

My friend has this exact chair, even in this color. She loves it very much. She is very “plus sized” and has difficulty walking. Being able to take this chair with her has freed her to go more places with her kids and grandkids. The smile on her face was just great to see. Now I want one too! I love that the canvas is thick as sometimes the flimsier chairs get uncomfortable quickly.

My husband is a 300 lb. guy so yeah he’s pretty big and has trouble using the regular cheap ones she says they are not comfortable for him he would love this one.

This chairs look awesome! My family and I love to go camping as well, and have definitely gone through a lot of chairs as well. Through kids and my husband, who is over 200lbs, they usually don’t last us long. I think it’s incredible that these can hold up to 800lbs!

There are several things I like about the King Kong Chair but the one I like the most is that it is made for those who might be a little rough and tough on the chair. This chair would also be great for taking with us on outings such as picnics, parting, camping and baseball games.

I am pleased that they are making chairs for people who weigh more and that won’t fall apart. A lot of them are so flimsy. Was glad to learn this one is so sturdy. Was it easy to get in and out of?
