Powered by Mom Shares a Mason Jar Dirt Pudding Recipe
A fun Halloween Treat!
This one is so fun and easy to make we almost shouldn’t call it a recipe! This is especially fun for Halloween but it’s also great for parties and for those who just like to be creative oh and yes maybe they like chocolate and gummy worms too! Well it’s not a healthy recipe but that’s okay we all deserve a treat here and there and with Halloween coming up we had to share this one!
We like this one because it’s fun, tasty and easy to make. However if you’d like to make more things from scratch like the pudding itself, feel free to do so! I make the whip cream myself and another option I like is to have chocolate whip cream on top oh chocolate anything is my motto 🙂
So let’s get on with this here’s the Mason Jar Dirt Pudding Recipe!
PrintMason Jar Dirt Pudding Recipe
- Prep Time: 20 minutes
- Total Time: 20 minutes
- Yield: 8 1x
Ingredients
- 8 4oz mason jars
- 1 package of chocolate instant Jello
- 2 cups of milk for Jello
- 8 oz whipped topping (either can or make your own like we do, we love whip cream)
- 10 oreo cookies
- 16 gummy worms
Instructions
- Prepare pudding according to directions.
- Crumble oreos in your food processor or place them in a baggie and pound with a hammer.
- Fill each jar half way with chocolate Jello. Fill almost to the top with whip cream.
- Top with cookie crumbles and place your gummy worms in each jar.
Notes
If you want your whip to be heavier you can use Cool whip instead of real whip cream but I’m not a fan myself of the cool whip. You can also substitute with a creme fraiche.
If you’re going to serve it right away just use whip cream 🙂
Now didn’t I tell you that this Mason Jar Dirt Pudding recipe was easy peasy, remember this one is not about the nutrition it’s all about the fun and it’s a treat! What’s not to love about chocolate and whip cream, oh yum. I like these for birthday parties too and you can even switch up the gummy worms for other fun shapes if you want.
If you’re having a Halloween party or even just a few people over for the kids make these. Better yet have the kids help you make these, they’ll have almost as much fun making this dirt pudding as they will eating it!
I’ve even switched it up by adding a bit of coloring to vanilla pudding to make it blue and the whip a lighter blue for an ocean scene with dolphin gummies. There’s always fun to be had only your imagination limits your recipe.
We hope you enjoy the Mason Jar Dirt Pudding let us know if you try it out!
