Powered by Mom shares a review of Mitsubishi Outlander GT!
This summer for our family vacation to the Anaheim, California area we had the opportunity to drive a new Mitsubishi Outlander GT. We were joined by other family members for this vacation so we needed a vehicle that would seat six people as we had four adults and two children. The Mitsubishi Outlander GT accommodated all of us, including a big guy over 6’4! We drove it everywhere with all six of us and sometimes with just the three of us (me, hubby and my daughter). We even drove from Anaheim to San Diego in it one day so we did everything from the quick 15 minute trip to a 3 hour trip one way.
When you have all of the seats up and being used it still leaves you some storage space in the back for groceries or in our case we put a couple of coolers in the back with water and food. We did get groceries one day with the Outlander GT and managed to fit several grocery bags in the back. Both my hubby and our good friend drove the Mitsubishi and the two of them are very different sizes. My hubby is 5′ 10 and is about 160lbs, as mentioned our friend is 6′ 4 but they both said it was comfortable for them to sit in it and drive. I sat behind our tall friend for one of the rides and I still had room for my 5’4 frame behind him.
That’s me below in the driver’s seat 🙂
I also took a turn driving the Outlander GT and agree with the guys it has some pep to it, there were lots of nice features and it was comfortable. One of our suggestions though was that we wished the very back windows opened as we had the two kids back there (girls) and as it was hot in California of course it took a while for the air conditioning to cool off the back for them. It would have been nice to have some air back there sometimes if we could have opened those windows.
That’s my hubby below in the Mitsubishi Outlander GT, see lots of room for him. I forgot to take a picture of our tall friend in the Mitsubishi Outlander GT but he fit and had a little bit of room over his head still so he wouldn’t knock it on the roof of the car.
Overall, we had a good experience and the ride wasn’t bad. It was good for driving around from place to place and had a bit of pep to it as mentioned but it’s not a high powered car, if that’s what you’re looking for. It is a good family car for every day use and travelling. If you were travelling with six people though keep in mind there wouldn’t be a lot of room in the back for all of the luggage, if you have the back seats down and seat four people there is a ton of room for luggage and anything else 🙂
Overall we give the Mitsubishi and two thumbs up for having everything a family needs to travel about town and a bit further, comfort and it was excellent on gas!
