Powered by Mom Blog shares her review on Gardening Mama 2 Forest Friends Nintendo 3DS
My daughter received Gardening Mama 2 Forest Friends on Nintendo 3DS and I admit I was surprised she liked it as much as she did. My daughter is 12 almost 13 and she's a gamer just like her dad so she's played a variety of games and can be picky on what she wants to play.
According to my daughter the game is very cute as you can create your own garden and the game as has several mini-games you can play. You can mow the lawn, hang up laundry which you wouldn't think would be fun but it had her giggling.
My daughter really liked that she could create the garden however she wanted, to get the look that she liked and then change it again. There are lots of plants to grow which my daughter said was one of her favorite things, selecting plants, finding out what they were called and watching them grow.
What Powered by Mom likes about this game
While my daughter is the gaming master I always like to take a look at the games she plays so that I can make sure there's nothing appropriate and hey okay I like to play games too 🙂
I love that this game is appropriate for almost any age. Let's face it there's enough (maybe too many) games out there with violence and even profanity and I know they come with ratings but it's just nice to have a kid friendly game that you don't have to censor ever.
I found it quite easy to find your way around this game and there's a nice variety of things to do. It has 50+ different plants to grow from pretty flowers to fun things like watermelon or even hot peppers. Then there's the animal friends, what a cute addition. The animal friends send you mail and ask for help with their gardening and there are even animal stores such as Cat's Beauty Shop (love that one) and Bear's Restaurant.
The plants are not the only things that can grow, the animal stores can also earn rewards and they can grown their stores, making them bigger etc..
It's quite adorable and I'm sure it would be a hit with younger kids for sure, and for the older kids I think girls like my daughter would like it more than boys but you never know :). it's not huge on the 3D side but there's some 3D effects for sure.
Overall a very cute game that we can recommend to everyone!
This seems to be a great game because it can be played by any age and is very appropriate for the summer with its gardening theme
What a fun looking game! I think my younger kids would really like it!
