Powered by Mom Shares her Otterbox Defender iPad Mini Case Review
My husband has been a big fan of Otterbox cases for several years now and he’s always used one for his phone especially when he’s at construction sites. About six months ago when we got our new phones he convinced me it was time for me to try one with my new iPhone 6 so I did, you can read that review here. After having my iPhone 6 in an Otterbox Defender case and dropping it more times than I care to admit and see not a scratch on my iPhone I too am now a HUGE Otterbox Defender fan.
They’ve Got Technology Covered! Known as an innovator of protective solutions for the leading global handheld manufacturers, wireless carriers and distributors, we’ve got technology covered! Similar to an otter’s fur, our original line of cases is waterproof. So to incorporate that element with the fun and playful disposition of the animal our founder and his wife came up with the name OtterBox while brainstorming company names during a drive to Denver, Colo.
Throughout the years, they’ve listened to customer feedback and attribute the evolution of our products to consumers who’ve challenged us to take the idea of a protective case to the next level.
I was worried before that the Otterbox Defender would be too bulky but now that I know it’s not it’s the first case I thought of when we needed something for our new iPad Mini. This is the first iPad we’ve owned and we were very excited about it, since everyone in the family would be using it we had to have something that we need would protect it from drops, bumps and more so of course we turned to Otterbox.
I selected the Crushed Damson color combination as I like colors and this stood out to me. It looks purple and red in some lights and more purple and burgundy in other lighting conditions. Either way I don’t worry about our iPad Mini as long as it’s in this Otterbox Defender case. I know someone who had the exact same iPad Mini and one of their children dropped it, guess what the screen got majorly cracked, it was not in an Otterbox Defender case.
We’ve travelled with this iPad Mini and it’s been in carry-on luggage, on the plane, on a ferry, in the car, everywhere but on a train and yes it’s been dropped too. I’m happy to say again not a scratch on our iPad Mini. I like to use it on the stand in the two different positions when I’m at a desk or even on the couch so that I can see the screen better and not have to hold the tablet.
Here’s some techinical 411 on this case:
- Triple layer iPad mini 3 case keeps your device safe from impact
- Port plugs form-fit around each input and jack to keep out dust and grime
- Built-in screen protector guards your brilliant 7.9″ display from scratches and scrapes
- The included iPad mini 3 case shield stand provides an extra layer of on-the-go protection and a great angle for typing
If I want to ensure my device has the best protection from dust, spills, drops, bumps and just any accidents without having to worry I’m always going to go with the Otterbox and their military grade protection of materials. Thanks Otterbox for saving our devices from every day life and our clumsiness.
