We’re sharing our Top Netflix Picks for May – Sense 8, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt & More
We’re sharing our top Netflix Picks for May like Sense 8 plus more. Everything from what mom and dad love to the teenager and even a few we all will watch together.
To get us started we have to go with one of my favourites. Hubby and I both love it and in fact we have a pact that neither of us can watch it without the other. That’s more painful for me as hubby works long hours outside the home, whereas I work long hours but at least my office is adjacent to our family room. If I actually take a break I will sneak in and watch a Netflix fave. However I couldn’t do that with Sense 8, season 2. So I waited patiently each time to watch with my hubby. It’s totally worth the wait but we’re sad now that we’ve watched the whole season.
If you haven’t watched Sense 8 and you like a show with a unique story line, a fabulous cast that portray quirky, compelling characters you’ll love Sense 8. There is no other show like it but it’s not one for the kiddos. Now hubby and I are crossing fingers that they produce a season 3, it is very popular so here’s hoping.
Up next is one I’ve mentioned before but this month it also had a new season released it’s the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt! The third season of this funny show came out on may 19th. It’s a ton of fun and it’s one my teen-aged daughter and I watch together. Another unique story line with Kimmy being rescued from underground bunker. You just have to check it out as it’s full of laughs. Pinot Noir, Caviar. Watch the show that will make sense later ;)’
My daughter and I have also gotten into watching Pretty Little Liars. We’re on season 6 which is the last one on Netflix but season 7 hasn’t even finished yet as it’s currently broadcasting. This has been a popular one and I can see. I started watching it to have something something to watch with my daughter and then I found myself watching it even when she wasn’t home. However we’ve both caught up and are watching season 6 together. did you know that watching shows your teen (or tween) is interested in could bring you closer together? A recent Netflix survey shows that teens around the world are interested in talking to their parents about shows they watch, 74% in fact!
Here’s an infographic on the Top 10 shows your teen might be watching and you can watch with them. Notice Pretty Little Liars is on there? I was going down the right path without even knowing it.
Funny enough even before this infographic we’ve been watching Vampire Diaries, the Daredevil (the whole family), Stranger Things and my personal favourite Supernatural which is filmed here in Vancouver. In fact I’m the one that got my daughter and hubby into watching Supernatural. We’ve already watched Breaking Bad. I’m currently the only one though who watches Orange is the new Black (although I’m currently waiting for the next season which is out next month – June!) and over the summer I hope to catch up on the Walking Dead. I look forward to introducing my daughter to Friends 🙂
I make it sound like I watch a lot of TV but if I’m lucky I get to watch one episode in an evening of any show. It’s just nice to know we have choices with Netflix when we do get to watch. I’m thrilled it’s so affordable and offers such a variety. If you’re not subscribed make sure to check out out and soon. GO HEREGO HERE to see all that they offer for a low monthly price.
