My hubby and I met in, wait for it, high school yep high school. Just before my 16th birthday I met him at the school’s Valentine’s Day dance, awww isn’t that sweet. There were of course the ups and downs, times apart and then after high school back together and have been ever since. Thank goodness, it wasn’t a messy moment, although much to our parent’s chagrin we waited until we were 28 before we got married. They thought it would never happen lolWhat about you?

I don’t have a significant other atm, but I can tell you one moment that was ‘*almost* messy’ that stood out was a blind date I was on. I got really nervous and was getting sick to my stomach. I got really hot and between that and the motion of the truck I started to get ready to vomit. I told him I was’t feeling well and could he please pull over (we were in the middle of downtown…lol) Luckily, he pulled over in time and there wasn’t a ‘mess’ in his truck or he really would have NEEDED Oxi Clean…hahahah! 🙂

It actually messy how we met. I was at a job interview and was waiting to be called in and I got up to help a receptionist struggling with some folders she dropped. My b/f was rushing to a meeting that he was already late for and he tripped on one of the folders and his drink landed all over me, just when the interviewer had come out to get me. So I ended up covered in a Gingerbread Latte. I got the job and a week after I started working he came up to me with giftcard to Macys to cover a whole new outfit and he ended up with my number.

We talked on the phone/AIM for a year before we even saw each other. Didn’t take long after we started hanging out to start going out….

I met my husband through a friend when I was about 17. I really didn’t like him that much but decided to go on a date with him. We went on our separate ways and dated other people for about 4 years and started dating again. He gave me my first bouquet of flowers that he pulled out from under his truck seat. He didn’t think I would like them but I did. We have been married now for over 30 years. The one thing I love about him is that he helps me all the time with the laundry.

I met my significant other when he was working 300 miles away from his home. Having to stay in a hotel and working 10-12 hour days, he had little time to do his laundry. Some of our first “dates” were spent in laundry mats doing his laundry. In order to have more interesting dates, I started doing his laundry for him at my apartment. Needless to say, his clothes were much cleaner than they had been getting in the laundry mat. I tease him sometimes that the only reason he married me was because he liked the way I washed his clothes! That was thirty years ago, so maybe not!
Rebecca Swenor says
I met my significant other through a friend and every time I seen him eat there would be more food in is lap than in his mouth. Never fail but through the years he grow to having all the food in his mouth instead of his lap. Brings memories back. 🙂
