Let's Help Buddha and Chai Find a Home! Pet Adoption of the Day #AdoptDon'tShop
SAN FRANCISCO, CA: Looking for a family dog? How about two family dogs? Well, Chai and Buddha are your answer! This brother and sister duo are extremely affectionate, get along great with other canines, can most likely exist with felines, and have experience with kids. They were surrendered when their former family didn't have time for them anymore...and they hope to find a future family who has all the time in the world!
Meet Buddha and Chai
If you’re not going to have a pet be indoors with you the majority of the time, give it lots of love, prepared to pay vet bills in an emergency and make a life time commitment then a pet is not for you. This is something we are passionate about and really want to get the message across to adopt not shop and that it’s a lifetime commitment of love!
Information from Buddha and Chai's Adoption Post
A shelter staff member wrote, "Chai is a 13-year-old, 55 pound, spayed female Boxer and Shepherd mix. And Buddha is an 11-year-old, 40 pound, neutered male Corgi mix. They were surrendered to us because the owner didn’t have time for them anymore.
Buddha and Chai are the absolute best of friends and are very much bonded, so we will only be adopting them out as a pair. They are very affectionate and have a TON of energy! Buddha and Chai both zoom all around our play yard here and love to go on long walks with the volunteers (they have impeccable leash manners!).
Buddha and Chai are clearly housetrained and have great appetites. From our experience with them, they get along well with other dogs and have the potential to live with a cat as long as the adopters do slow introductions and separate them initially. Also, they lived with a 3-year-old child in their last home, so they would be a good choice for a family!
We don’t ship animals, so adopters will need to come to our shelter in Burlingame, CA to meet the pair and introduce them to any resident dogs. We do adopt to out-of-staters though!"
GO HERE to share his story and hopefully help her find a home or better yet please contact the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA for more information on adopting Buddha and Chai.

I so wish I could adopt a dog, I want my own dog , I love my cats but I still want a dog or two or three and to me adoption is the only way, thanks for sharing this. and will share
I hope they get a home!
The owner didn't have time for them anymore D: I don't like to judge but WHAT?! They are adorable so Im sure they will, if they haven't already, find a loving home.
Omg, soooo cute!! Just look at those faces! Shared I hoped someone steps up to give these two sweeties a great home!

I hope they get a home soon if they haven't already! I applaud your effort with helping animals! Thanks! 🙂
These babies are so precious! I hope they find their forever home soon!
They are adorable. I hope they find a loving home
They are so cute. It is a shame the owners couldn't find the time to take care of them. I will pass this along. Thank you for sharing
oh these guys so sweet wish I can adopt them
Aww so sweet,I can't wait to move,I want a dog so bad,I'm disabled andim told a dog would be good for my health
What sweeties! If I lived in the bay area, I'd adopt them in a minute! I really hope they find a forever home soon.
I imagine it's more difficult to find a home for two dogs. I know if they've been raised together, you wouldn't want to separate them.
I am so impressed by this! Always, always, adopt, don't shop! These sweet fur babies would be an asset to any family. Between 2005-2007, my roomates and I fostered and trained a total of 16 dogs (not all at once!!) that had been abandoned. Just left by the side of the road, it breaks my heart to think about it! We had every breed from Chihuahuas to a HUGE Bearded Collie, and everything in between. Three month old puppies, and arthritic 12 year olds. Look at thise beautiful faces, ready to love and be loved! I am crying as I write this!!!
