Let’s Help Brody Find a Home! Pet Adoption of the Day #AdoptDon’tShop
ROANOKE, VA: This handsome boy is Brody. He is senior brindle Boxer mix who came into the shelter as a stray dog a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, we just learned is on limited time at the shelter. And by limited, we mean tomorrow.
If you’re not going to have a pet be indoors with you the majority of the time, give it lots of love, prepared to pay vet bills in an emergency and make a life time commitment then a pet is not for you. This is something we are passionate about and really want to get the message across to adopt not shop and that it’s a lifetime commitment of love!
Information from Brody’s Adoption Post
Brody’s shelter is located in rural Virginia, near the North Carolina border. The good news is that he is open to a lot of possibilities — he needs to find either a local foster, or an adopter or rescue (within an 8 hour driving distance) who can give him a second chance. PLEASE SHARE!
Brody was tested with several different dogs and he did fine with varying personality types. He was a bit put off by a dominant male dog, but it was expected by the volunteer.
Brody has not been formally tested with very young children, but it is suggested, since he is an older guy, that elementary age children and older would best suited for the lifestyle he is seeking.
Volunteer Charlene wrote, “We are in desperate need of rescue for a male senior Boxer mix named Brody. He needs to be out of shelter Friday, he is seriously down to the wire.
Brody is a senior Brindle Boxer Mix who is close to 10 years old and deserves a warm recliner to snuggle in with YOU! Brody is good with other dogs and he loves to be around people. He is also crate and housetrained. He is a great boy.
