Meet Coco and Lila

coco and lila

If you’re not going to have a pet be indoors with you the majority of the time, give it lots of love, prepared to pay vet bills in an emergency and make a life time commitment then a pet is not for you. This is something we are passionate about and really want to get the message across to adopt not shop and that it’s a lifetime commitment of love!

Information from Coco and Lila's Adoption Post

A Palo Alto Animal Services volunteer wrote, "Coco and Lila, 9 and 6 year old smooth-coated Chihuahua mixes, were surrendered together by their previous owner. Coco and Lila's family had to move and their new place does not allow for pets. The pair was surrendered in fantastic shapes and you can tell that they were loved. Since they have lived together their entire lives, they really need to be adopted as a pair.

Coco is a very laid back senior (he's the brown one). He's about 9 years old and seven pounds. Coco is still very agile as he loves to leap onto laps and he will still run and play with younger dogs. Lila is about 6 years old and roughly the same size and weight as Coco...only with shorter legs. She is the more cautious one of the two and definitely the boss of Coco. Like Coco, Lila is also very sweet and while she can play and run with the quickest of puppies, she prefers to watch all the action from the comfort of your lap.

Both Coco and Lila get along and can live with other dogs, but we have not confirmed if they can live with cats. Both Coco and Lila grew up with in a family with children (2 year old to 18 year old) so they can definitely live with children.

Both dogs are house trained... love treats... love to snuggle with each other... love to sit on laps... will give kisses... will sit... and enjoy walks!"

  3. That is my least favorite breed of dog. My aunt had one and it was the most aggressive little dog. It may have just been her dog. These two may have a great disposition.

  4. Awwww They are so adorable. My daughter has a dog very similar and they call him Nacho. He's just too precious, but unfortunately my hubby likes bigger dogs and we have a Black Lab who is 14 and we had a Black Lab prior to this one and they're both great dogs.

  5. My niece is a vetranarian's assistant, working her way through university to be a vet...when they took in a bauuny that was so injured they were going to put her down. my niece, who already had a rabbit asked me to take her. It took 2 months of intensive care and remedial procedures, but I am happy to say that i now have the most affectionate pet in the world. animals need help too!
