It’s our Pet Adoption Pet of the Day – Meet Jenna the Dog!
#AdoptDon’tShop
To all our readers who are in the US or know people in the US, let’s see if we can find this sweet dog a forever home!
We are featuring pets across Canada and the United States so read on and feel free to share, you never know who you will reach! Jenna must know her forever family is out there because she has the patience of a saint! This girl looks like a real sweetie, let’s share, share, share and see if we can’t find her a loving home.
Meet Jenna, she’s near Fort Wayne, IN
If you’re not going to have a pet be indoors with you the majority of the time, give it lots of love, prepared to pay vet bills in an emergency and make a life time commitment then a pet is not for you. This is something we are passionate about and really want to get the message across to adopt not shop and that it’s a lifetime commitment of love!
Jenna is housebroken, she is crate trained, she knows basic commands, and she is very well behaved. She gets along well with ALL humans and MOST other dogs (but no thank you on the cats, Jenna says). Apparently, Jenna did meet a dog recently who she didn’t she didn’t care for, but perhaps they just rubbed each other the wrong way. Because of that, Jenna was intentionally introduced to new dogs this past week to see her behavior, and she did great with them! It’s really not very different from us humans, there are some people you love and some people you’d just rather never see again. No harm, no foul.
A shelter volunteer wrote, “Jenna is a wonderful 10-11 year old boxer mix who is available for adoption through the Steuben County Humane Society. Jenna is deaf but it does not affect her quality of life at all, if you clap and signal for her to come to you, she comes. Jenna knows all hand signals and all basic obedience and is an extremely well behaved girl.
Her tail never stops wagging, it is always going, and I mean ALWAYS going!!!! Jenna loves to play, her favorite toy is a rope toy that she will have a good game of tag with and she loves to run around the yard carrying a stick. She is housebroken and crate trained.
I cannot say enough about this wonderful girl, we adore her and she would be great with about any family!!”
If Jenna is not the perfect match for you, I recommend that you go and check out other pets at Susie’s Senior Dogs, in your local shelters, sadly they are probably bursting at the seams with pets waiting to be adopted.
Last but not least, before you adopt a pet make sure you and your family are ready for it, he/she is a good fit for your lifestyle and that you’re ready to have them there forever.
