Mercury and fish eyes and a slinky were my fave when I was little.
Mercury from an old clock…it rolled around all silvery on the kitchen table.
The fish eyes after dad went fishing and mom cleaned the fish
and all us kids poked the eyes,
and the slinky on the stairs was always fun.
