Enjoying some down time with our favourite Netflix Picks
February may be the month of love but it’s also a short month making it a very busy month for us as well. Sometimes it’s hard to make time to just sit back and relax but here and there we’re snagging some couch time. I thought I’d share some of mine and my family’s favourite Netflix picks for this month.
One that my teen-aged daughter and I watch together is Shadowhunters – Mortal Instruments. Yes it’s a cast of young people but the story is interesting, it’s one I can watch with my teen and she’s currently reading the series of books. I like to encourage reading always and we get some time to spend together watching the show, talking about it vs the book and well just mom and daughter time. Although dad has occasionally dropped in to watch an episode or two.
It’s now about halfway through season 2 so you have time to catch up if you want to see what all the hype is about. It’s hugely popular among teens and young adults and okay this mom is enjoying it too. It’s not one for the littlest members of the family but don’t worry Netflix always has tons of great shows and movies for kids.
My hubby has started to watch the Ultimate Beastmaster a reality show that just became available on Netflix February 24th. I’m not a big fan of reality shows myself but this one seems to captured hubby’s interest.
However, hubby and I have watched The Colony together – In the wake of a mysterious alien invasion, a family fights to stay together in a new world order. It’s different and I’m so enjoying it, we both are. There are actors you will recognize aka Josh Holloway & Sarah Wayne Callie whom you will probably recognize from The Walking Dead and previously from Prison Break.
Which actually brings me to our third Netflix Pick this month Prison Break. I remember watching it when it aired but I missed those last few seasons. Now my hubby and I are catching up on those last few seasons as there’s going to be a return of Prison Break, the sequel so we’re getting ready for that big return. We’re not sure when/if it will be on Netflix but we’re so happy we can watch the previously missed seasons of it on Netflix. It’s definitely a blast from the past that we’re enjoying.
Those are our top 3 choices right now, there’s always so many to choose from, thank goodness for Netflix on sick days, bad weather days and well days we just want to chill. If you’re not enjoying Netflix yet what are you waiting for? So many shows and movies for such a small monthly fee is awesome! Feel free to sign up HERE.
