My mother and I are estranged. I dread these Mothers Day and Father Day periods where sponsors (and bloggers) want us to wax poetic about our parents. The family situation is not always healthy or ideal, and mine was one of those. So I'd say I'm sorry you weren't a better parent and a better person. Sadly that is the best I could possibly do.
However, I should add, I have four AMAZING adult children and five awesome grandchildren, so we are breaking the cycle and doing GREAT! I am so lucky and happy to have them.
I would fly her here to visit her grandkids.
