Protein Pancakes with Garden of Life Raw Protein Powder

I was recently asked to try a couple of Garden of Life’s Raw Fit Protein Powder.  My daughter was bugging me to make Swedish Pancakes so I figured I would add in some powder and spice it up a little. This would make for a perfect weekend breakfast, or make it ahead of time and store in the fridge for last minute use.

Inspired by Swedish Pancakes, these would make for a perfect weekend breakfast, or make it ahead of time and store in the fridge for last minute use.

Prep Time 4 minutes
Cook Time 4 minutes
Total Time 8 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop Garden of Life Raw Chocolate Protein Powder
  • 2 ½ cups low-fat milk
  • 1 ¼ cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
  • 3 eggs
  • coconut oil/vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. beat the eggs with half the milk in a mixing bowl.
  2. add in flour, protein powder and salt and beat until smooth.
  3. Stir in melted butter and remaining milk.
  4. Heat a griddle or large skillet with a small amount of vegetable oil or coconut oil.
  5. pour about ¼ cup batter onto the griddle and cook over medium heat 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. turn the pancakes and cook until golden brown, about ½ minute.

  2. I am not a big meat eater so it's hard sometimes to get the right amount of protein in my diet. I think it would be nice to have this Garden of Life Raw Protein Powder.

  3. I like pancakes. I have never tried this powder before. It sounds interesting. It's a much healthier way to eat pancakes.

  4. I've never tried protein powder. If it's tasteless, I would. The pancakes looked a bit dark, I guess that's from the chocolate. It sounds like a pretty good recipe.

What a wonderful way to get the proteins and nutrients which your body needs! You didn't mention how your daughter liked her Swedish Pancakes! Did she love them? I'm sure she had to have loved them!   6. I have to admit, I never thought of adding protein powders to pancakes! It does make sense, though. All you have to do is add them to the dry ingredients.
