Rubbermaid FreshWorks Keeps Produce Fresher Longer

in Reviews on 05/22/18

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Rubbermaid®. All opinions are 100% mine.

Keeping their Produce Fresher for LONGER thanks to Rubbermaid FreshWorks!

Thank goodness for Rubbermaid® FreshWorks™! Why am I saying that you ask. First, let me tell you how guilty I’ve felt in the past when I had the best of intentions to feed my family more fresh fruits and vegetables only to have them spoil before we got to eat them. It would seem like they would spoil only minutes after I bought them. Okay that’s an exaggeration but it felt like that sometimes. Not only would we miss out on some healthy fruits and vegetables but it was not budget-friendly to buy produce that we ended up having to throw away.Rubbermaid FreshWorksNow we can keep produce fresher longer with the Rubbermaid® FreshWorks™ Produce Saver. Their revolutionary FreshVent technology is a life saver or should I say produce saver?! It regulates the flow of oxygen and carbon dioxide in and out of the produce container creating the optimal environment for keeping fruits and vegetables fresher for longer.Keeping produce fresher for longerYou pair that with  Rubbermaid® FreshWorks™  little green tray at the bottom of the container which officially is called the CrispTray (not the little green tray) and it keeps produce from sitting at the bottom of the container in any moisture. It also works with the FreshVent to promote airflow to help prevent spoilage. The built-in lid filter never needs to be replaced and will last a lifetime – can we say total bonus?!Rubbermaid FreshWorksWhat does this mean for my family and I? We’re wasting less produce because it’s still fresh when we go to eat it when we’ve put them in the Rubbermaid® FreshWorks™ containers! For the best results you add your produce unwashed and wait until you’re ready to eat those fresh veggies and fruits. Check out this comparison of strawberries I bought on the same day. One set was put in the Rubbermaid FreshWorks container and the other left in the clamshell it was purchased in. Can you see the difference after five days? The ones in the Rubbermaid® FreshWorks™  container are still fresh and the ones in the clamshell have started to spoil!Rubbermaid FreshWorksKey product features:

  • The FreshVent™ patented membrane naturally regulates the flow of O2 & CO2 to create the optimal environment for your farm fresh produce;
    • No other containers have this technology!
  • The FreshWorks™ container is sized to optimally fit and keep produce fresher, longer;
  • The CrispTray™ elevates produce away from moisture and promotes proper airflow to help prevent spoilage;
  • BPA-Free & Dishwasher Safe (top-rack)

In addition to keeping berries in our Rubbermaid® FreshWorks™  containers I also tried it with lettuce as that’s something else that spoils on us quickly. I don’t know about you but wilted lettuce does not make me want to have a salad.What’s not to love about containers that keep your produce fresher for longer which in turns saves you money. How? Because we’re not having to replacing our fruits and vegetables as quickly due to spoilage. We’re not wasting the produce we’ve bought. Anything that helps me to feed my family with fresh fruits and vegetables before they spoil is a big win for me. Make sure to check them out and you can save right now too with this $3 coupon

    I do like Rubbermaid products and have to look into these. I have been throwing out a lot of produce that spoiled lately.

    That is amazing! I love how they have technology to preserve more than a regular plastic container. I will invest in a set of these!

    Produce can be expensive so I believe it’s worth every penny to buy some of these! My family used to throw away way too much produce before I found these. Great review!

    I am always looking for ways to keep fresh food –fruit –veggies- fresher. Good money is spent and some how a lot of times the food goes bad quickly and this would save money.

    I can’t stand uncovered food in the fridge. It makes a mess and dries out.I always use these containers.

    I’ve wondered how good these were. I tend not to buy into company’s advertising at how great they are…kind of like the pictures of hamburgers at fast food places – compared to what it really looks like when you buy it. So I’m glad to see your pictures and your experiences with it was so positive. I end up freezing a lot of fresh fruit because I’m afraid it will go bad before it can be eaten, so this is a great choice for me. thanks
