Ruggable the Washable Rug Review
Ruggable is a two piece rug system that solves the many issues that we have we carpets and rugs!
I was thrilled at the opportunity to review Ruggable a two piece rug system as my home at the time only had one rug in the entire house. We had no carpets at all due to having two dogs, a cat, child, husband well you know what I mean 🙂 I liked the idea of the Ruggable as it’s easy to clean, affordable, is non-slip, it’s easy to vacuum, lightweight and so much more! If it could survive my home it could survive anywhere!
We decided to put Ruggable to the ultimate test, we selected a white ruggable that would go into my teen daughter’s bedroom. Let me tell you this is a hard core test as our dogs and cat go in her room, it’s white and well she’s a teen-ager as we all know they’re not always the tidiest of our species 🙂
My daughter was thrilled to get this white shag ruggable in her bedroom as she thought it looked cool and she’s always complained that her floor is called. We have put in some small area rugs in her room before but they would wear out quickly, especially if I had to wash them which was often. Most did not last more than a few washings. As we know most area rugs aren’t designed to be machine washed and if you’re like me you’re too busy to hand wash and dry and who wants to pay for dry cleaning? Not me.
Here’s a picture of one of their Aqua Blue Chenille Rug. I don’t have this one but had to share as they have some great patterns and colors to select from.
We’ve had the Ruggable now for about two months and I’m happy to say it’s survived our home with flying colors. I’ve washed it three times now and it comes out looking like new. How it works is that it has a cushioned non-slip rug pad that is the base and the top part, in our case the white shag is the topper. You just take the topper off to wash it and the rug pad itself is water resistant and it’s super easy to wipe off. I should also mention there was barely any lint left in our dryer after the ruggable went through it, so it doesn’t lose it’s “shag” in the washer and dryer.
Below you can see the non-slip rug pad and how you can just lift off the top part to put it in the wash.
It sounds easy doesn’t it? It really is that easy to take care of install and now you can just enjoy them. With pets and my busy family I like that we can enjoy some carpeted areas without having to worry about getting the dirt and stains out of the carpet, because now we have ruggable as an option! I have my eye on their red chenille one below for my office!
I think that the Ruggable two piece system can be used anywhere but is particularly good for dorm rooms, high traffic areas in the home, for pet owners and anyone who wants an easy to clean and take care of rug. Now it’s Ruggable easy to have carpets in your home!

I wash my area rugs in the washer. The only issue is the dryer. Most of these rugs have the plastic type backs for non slip.I just set the dryer on air fluff.

This would be wonderful to have, especially having two dogs that come in all muddy. Thank you for posting this review.
