Ryobi Hybrid Trimmer is fantastic!

Powered by Mom's Review

Powered by Mom Blog was lucky enough to receive and review a Ryobi Hybrid 18V Lithium Edger/Trimmer or should we say her hubby was lucky enough since he's the yard guy. He had lots of yard work to do so he got started on our doggy area. This is the area where our two dogs Luna and Little Zeus go to do their "business" before they can run around the rest of the yard. As you can imagine it's well fertilized and gets lots and lots of weeds.

This area was so overgrown that I think the weeds were taller than our chihuahua Little Zeus. Here's a before picture of the doggy area.

While the Hybrid Trimmer is just that a trimmer hubby went and used it to clear out this entire area. He loves that it dosen't have any fumes from gas and that he can run it on a battery as our yard has limited areas to plug in. Who wants to worry about cords if we don't have too?!

Well the verdict is that the Ryobi Hybrid Trimmer not only does the job but it makes doing the yard work so much easier. The battery lasts long enough to get it done but when you need to recharge it doesn't take long to charge. It's also quite light as I tried it out myself and I didn't find it heavy or awkward to use but I told hubby that's okay he can still do the weed wacking 🙂

Here's the completed job on the doggy area. Well almost complete we have to rake the chopped up weeds away but what an improvement!

Ryobi has come through again with a good quality trimmer that we now can't live without. Powered by Mom and hubby give it a 5 out of 5 stars for quality, power and ease of use. Go Ryobi!

Ryobi is going to give one lucky fan a Ryobi Hybrid Trimmer of their very own to make their yard work this summer that much easier!

  1. I actually hate doing yard work, but my house is for sale so I have to do it a lot. This would be amazing since my weekwacker blew up this past week.

  2. Aside from allergy issues, I enjoy yardwork. If I mow the grass, it stays looking nice much longer than the freshly scrubbed kitchen floor.

  3. I need to do my weeds. I have problems borrowing trimmer from family as our times are different. Wish I didn't have to borrow.

  4. We have quite a large yard that needs mowing and trimmng. We have the mower, just no trimmer, and my husband has mentioned a few times lately that he needs one, so, this would be a wonderful way for us to finally get one, since we cannot afford to buy one. Thanks for the chance!!

  5. I really need a trimmer like this! We have a good sized backyard and don't have a trimmer at all. I have trouble with pull start yard tools, so a battery powered one would be so perfect! I'm sure my neighbors would love for me to have one too, lol. Our backyard grows really fast, so it needs cut pretty often. This would make it look so much better! Thanks for the chance!

  6. Love gardening and flower beds, my husband needs to weed, they are growing faster than we can get them cut.
My husband is using hand clippers, this trimmer would cut some time so he can finish other stuff on my honey do list. Thanks for the chance,

  10. with a townhouse, we dont have much grass, but due to a GIANT tree we do have a LOT of yardwork that always needs to be done. The kids like to help me weed the flower patch, while i make hubby do all the heavy lifting

  11. We have flowers around a tree and in a rock garden. The wildflowers went very wild this year and have worked their way into our lawn. They do get bushy but are pretty. I see the neighbor now has them in her area near the driveway..... A good trimming around these areas would help. I spend alot of time using scissors for it.

  12. I have mostly flat Florida grass that the park mows but they are not allowed near the garden or too close to the deck (they run over anything in the way)... This would be amazing especially with it being lightweight and I have degenerative disk disease (age 42.. guess my warranty expired ha)... Thank you for the chance!

  20. We've long loved to garden - but in recent years, between some significant injuries (back surgery for me and TWO total hip replacement for my Honey/Hubby, we are not as spry or energetic as we used to and while we still LOVE to enjoy the results - we need a little more help (including tools!) with the "hard labor" aspects on the lawns, raised and flat bed gardens and wedding of course. Nice prize - would be a great help!

  34. My favorite part of yard work is taking care of the garden. I like to weed it and check that all is ok. If there are bugs or animals eating the leaves or vegetables I take care of it the most natural way. I do not hurt anything.

  35. I don't like any yard work but I do like sitting on the deck looking at the flowers so the yard work has to be done. I could use this to make the trimming so much easier, right now I just use hand trimmers and it takes forever.
