Powered by Mom is going to Chicago!

I can't wait I'm going to Chicago for the second time in 3 years at almost exactly the same time of year that I went in 2010. However this time I'm going for something far more fun and valuable to me as a blogger. I'm going to BlogHer 13 and I am beyond excited! I finally get to go to a conference that is about my business and helping me grow and I get to meet a ton of lovely ladies that I've been working with the last few months, some I've been working with for a year and will get to meet them in real life for the first time! I will of course also get to meet a ton of other bloggers I don't know from across the US, Canada, and the globe oh yes indeed!

One of the fun things I get to do on this trip to is to go on a fireworks cruise with Sea Dog Cruises! It's a lakefront cruise where we get the best seats to watch spectacular fireworks as we drift along the water, what more could I ask for? Well good company too which I will be getting with about 75 other bloggers as it's hosted by the lovely people behind Madam Deals. I'm very excited about this evening cruise as I didn't get to do anything near as fun as that when I was last in Chicago which was for a very dry university conference.

Sea Dog Cruises also offers the following:

Lakefront Speedboat Tour
This 30-minute cruise along the shoreline offers a descriptive tour of Chicago’s famous skyline, while playing your favorite music.

Extreme Thrill Ride
This cruise is perfect for the dare-devil in you! This 30-minute ride features splash down stops, 180-degree turns, slalom runs and more.

River and Lake Architectural Tour
Enjoy historic views of Chicago’s famous landmarks and neighborhoods during this 75-minute cruise on both Lake Michigan and the Chicago River.

Wonder why it's called Sea Dog Cruises? Well as space permits your favorite pooch can ride on the cruise for free too, aren't they lucky. If I had my two favorite canines with me I would take them. If you're in the Chicago any time soon or live there and are having friends or family visit check out Sea Dog Cruises! I can't wait for my cruise!

  1. I was trying to recall the Sea Dog Cruises. The only ones I know are The Spirit of Chicago and Chicago Odyssey. I did a search and this cruise is still running, but on a “COVID-19” schedule. This is great to know since I live outside of Chicago. Chicago used to be the vacation spot of fun! There’s a lot to do and see! Now I would be careful ???? This world is really scary and I don’t see it getting any better! Pin worthy! Thank you for sharing!

  3. I am originally from Canada, but I live in Chicago! I LOVE THIS CITY! This is the most amazing city I've ever been to. We live right across the street from Lake Michigan! I'm glad you get to come back and visit!

  4. I have never gotten to spend any time in Chicago. I have only been outside of it. This sounds like something super fun, though!

  5. Looks like fun! They have fireworks cruises in Tampa too that I want to take one year. They are a bit pricey and sell out fast but I think it would be so much fun.

  6. I love visiting my brother-in-law who lives in Chicago. I'll have to look into that Sea Dog cruise you took. More importantly, I wish I was a blogger. I know I would learn so much more from other bloggers than by the trial and error method. I follow both Powered by Mom and Madam Deals everyday. They are super blogs in my book!
