My mom has had and fought breast cancer twice now. She’s in remission, hopefully for good. She did a lot of research trying to reduce her risks for getting it again. Part of her recovery is following the American Cancer Society diet (mostly), and eating less refined sugar and carbs. I try to share with others the importance our diet plays in all aspects of our lives, not just our bellies. And I make sure to check in with my buddies and make sure they do their monthly self-check breast exams.
