Single Jo Coffee Recipes and More!#HavaJava

MARGARITAVILLE COFFEE

Powered by Mom discovered Single Jo Coffee a few months ago and is loving it. Not only do they have some of the best aromatic single serve K-Cup compatible coffees out there, they are eco-friendly so you have "Less Waste, More Taste™". It doesn't stop there though as I'm constantly on their site and it seems they always have a deal going on for some of their coffees. I've been waiting to get their Kona coffee before I run out of my Margaritaville single serves from Single Jo Coffee.

The Margaritaville coffee brand is a lot of fun and very flavorful. In particular I love the Sunrise in Paradise one which is a  light-medium roast. Single Jo Coffee couldn't describe it better when they say this about it:

When you have crossed the fine line between Saturday night and Sunday morning, our Margaritaville blend of South and Central American coffees, combined with a lively African coffee, will get you off to a bright start.

While I always enjoy my hot cup of coffee in the morning, during the summer I like to cool down a bit and I have a few favorite things I like to make with my Single Jo Coffee. For an easy cool drink I just stir my coffee with some vanilla or chocolate almond milk, add a bit of coconut sugar and I pour it over ice. It's so tasty and it's one of the best iced coffees.

When I really want a treat I make myself a Banana Coconut Coffee Smoothie. This is so good, it's like dessert but I do have decadent and healthier option for this one so I'll share both of them with you!

smoothie ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups of Chocolate Almond Milk (can substitute with chocolate milk or milk and a bit of cocoa or soy milk)
  • 1 cup Single Joe Coffee - I use my Margaritavill Sunrise in Paradise coffee but any Single Jo Coffee would be fabulous
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut sugar (or sweeten to taste)
  • For super chocolate taste add a bit of cocoa powder (optional)
  • Shredded coconut - to taste or coconut oil (start with 1 teaspoon and see if you like the taste)
  • 1 fresh or frozen banana (tip: when your bananas are going too brown for you just freeze them and save them for smoothies!)
  • Ice - add however much you want depending on how thick you want it

Put it all in your blender and blend. Absolutely delicious and of course to make it even more decadent I just had to top it with a chocolate coffee whip cream. It doesn't get any better than that!

Here's my smoothie ready to be consumed, it's one of my favourite recipes

Don't worry I haven't forgotten about the healthier version which is still very tasty too!

You can use all the ingredients mentioned above (even the coconut sugar if you want) just add some chocolate protein powder or vanilla protein powder depending on how much of a chocolate flavor you want. For an extra anti-oxidant boost add some chia seeds and just skip the whip cream. Between the cocoa, protein powder and chia seeds you've got a tasty smoothie with a healthy twist.

Single Jo Coffee also has some fabulous recipes you can use for a few different ways to use coffee in some tasty dishes and drinks. Here's just a couple of them. If you love your cup of "Jo" then I highly recommend checking out Single Jo Coffee you wont' be disappointed, they have the variety, top quality, is an eco-friendly option and the prices are great!

  2. Gong to have to try this recipe! I'm trying to give up soda but don't want hot coffee all the time as my caffeine sub! I usually just pour my coffee and creamer over ice, but that's not the best tasting.
