Powered by Mom Blog shares her thoughts on the Snoqualmie Merlot Red Wine

Here's the red wine we tried this Easter weekend. As I've mentioned before I generally only have any type of alcohol on the weekend and we never ever drink and drive. Now that the disclaimers are done here's the scoop on what I thought of this wine. Remember these are just my opinions and I am not a wine connoisseur, I just like what I like and I prefer not to spend a fortune on it LOL.

red wine

I don't like any drinks that are overly strong, it's probably why I don't like stuff like whiskey and the hard liquor. I did like this Snoqualmie wine as it was light, subtle, not spicy like some of them can be. On their site they have a quote that has been described by Winemaker– Joy Andersen as “Rich black cherry fruit impressions on the nose with hints of spice and herbs are followed on the palate by juicy berry fruit and sweet oak flavors.”

I can definitely agree with the impression of rich black cherry, keeping in mid to me it was subtle as I mentioned it was light so a hint of spice sounds good to me. I didn't notice the sweet oak flavors but I probably don't know what I'm looking for :). It just a nice light wine that doesn't taste watered down so it suits me just fine. I know not very technical but that's me when it comes to wine. I liked having it after our steak dinner it was just perfect timing for the wine at that time.

If you're interested you can definitely get more information on their website but if you're looking for a nice, light red wine you might like this one. It was about $10 where I bought it so inexpensive which suits my budget just fine 🙂

Feel free to share what some of your favorite wines are below we'd love to read about them!
