Speed Queen Laundry

If you go to a place like Speed Queen laundry, you need to know about a few different tips that can make your experience more successful. On the outside, doing the laundry at a place like this probably seems simple, but it is very different than doing it in your own home. If you are used to doing it at home, you need to be ready for the changes or they could take you by surprise. Since you have to pay for each load that you do, any mistakes that you make could end up being rather costly.

First, you should not try to overfill the washing machines. People often do this, cramming in as much as they can since they want to do fewer loads overall. This may seem like a good plan, but the reality is that most of your clothes are not going to get clean if the washer is too full. Some of them may not even get wet, which is how you can tell they were not washed. You will end up doing multiple loads, rewashing clothes, which will cost more than if you had just done a normal load the first time. Furthermore, some washers have weight sensors, so they will shut down if the load is too heavy and not balanced.

Next, you should always remember to check the lint trap before you use the dryers. If it has not been cleaned out correctly, your clothes are not going to dry. This is also a fire hazard. If the clothes do not get dry when you wash them at home, you can do them again and it is not a big issue, but having to pay twice as much to dry your clothes can be frustrating. It only takes a few seconds to clean out the trap, so it is worth it, and you should just assume that the last person did not do it.

Finally, you should bring your own detergent and fabric softener. You can sometimes buy these things at a laundry, but not always. Even if you do, you may not get as much as you need to fully clean your clothes, or you might not get a brand that you like. On top of that, you will pay far more for it at the laundry, in small amounts, than you would pay if you bought larger amounts at the store.
