There are some causes that are super important to me and bullying just happens to be one of them. Growing up, I've seen bullying first hand and as my children grow, I've witnessed it in their lives as well. You can read more about the impact of bullying here. We as adults need to take a stand against bullying and ensure that it does not effect another life! We can do this through our words and our actions. I personally had to sit my son down last week and talk to him about it after an incident at his school where he was the perceived bully. And even though that was not his intention, his actions caused another child to feel bullied. This is not a problem that only happens to other people. It is a real issue that most children (and adults) will deal with at one point in their lives. And I want to see that stop!
So, I have teamed up with some of my bloggy friends to bring you a great giveaway to shed a light on bullying! We'll be giving away a Diamond Candle to one lucky winner to remind them to never let the light go out on their efforts to end bullying!

I was bullied from the day I walked in kindergarten until the day I walked across the stage at graduation. I have never been so miserable in my life and I thought it was never gonna be over.
bullying is a big worry....i have a slightly overweight child and 2cousins 11and 15 that are super close to me who are autistic
bullying wasn't very prominent in my school at my time but now i hear all these stories, i worry so much for my son 🙁
I've never been bullied, but I'm strongly against any type of bullying, even if people claim it's their religious right to bully people.
I was bullied a lot in school especially high school. I was miserable, hated going, and attended an online school senior year. If it wasn't my weight it was my red hair. I was called a blimp, told to call 1-800 JENNY the moment I got on the school bus. Sad part is I ran into one of the kids at the age of 21 and he was still just as bad. He bought a guy at the bar a beer if he slapped my butt and pointed out the fact I was big. He drew attention and ppl laughed. Here I was a military spouse with a deployed hubby and so much going for me and I let him get to me and break me apart. I am 26, a mom of 2 and still a military wife and although I have 3 men that adore me, it still effects me everyday. Maybe I don't recognize what exactly happened or how i was treated, but I don't take compliments well, think the worst of myself, and sometimes feel like I have no self worth based on what others have thought of me. Breaks my heart that my kids may one day have to deal with that. Breaks my heart even more that ppl like that man that never changed are going to reproduce and make more kids as bitter and cruel as he is 🙁
I was picked on because I was really skinny and quiet
Kids used to bully my girl.It was bad, they made her so sad.
I havent had any points in my life personally where Bullying has been an issue. I do talk with my children to make sure lines of communication is open so they feel comfortable to tell me if someone is bullying them.
I've been through it and watched my girls go through it. Schools don't seem to want to do anything about it
I was called Goober in Middle School!
I was never bullied but since I have school age children I have noticed it is way worst now then it was when I was in school. It's pretty sad that it has got way out of hand.
It makes me so sad when we hear stories about bullying. I was never bullied growing up or was never around any or didn't see any. I am grateful for that. I will help my kids and teach them about bullying
I am so against Bullying. I hate that there are kids out there that have nothing better to do than pick on someone and create such hurt in someones life.
I was bullied through out my grade nine and ten years at school. It really changed the person I am today. I know what kind of pain it caused me and it will be a teaching tool I will pass down to my son in years to come.
it hasn't impacted me directly but when i see/hear things its saddens me and makes me worry for my kids
I used to get teased at school, but not to the extent that others did. I saw some of my classmates get bullied a lot more.
I was bullied in school very badly ...
Being Petite lots of times provokes Bullying. Thank you. Jerri Davis
I saw my friends being bullied when I was younger. I never was because I always stood up against them.
One example was older boy on bus teasing me about my last name on regular basis.
Just like what Rebecca wrote above, I was bullied my whole life through school. I was always "different" so to speak. As an adult, I've realized being different is a GOOD thing. That's the way God made us. If we all had the same nose, eyes, hair, body - how would this world be? I will do everything in my power and control to not let the same happen to my two beautiful children. Every child is beautiful and does not deserve to be bullied! Thank you for this giveaway and raising awareness. Every bit counts and through things like this we can all make a difference.
I support this site, and have shared on my wall.
At one point in Jr. High School I was being bullied so bad (like life threatening) that I had to change schools. I hated it I missed my friends and my "normal" so I begged my Mom to let me return to "my" school and I just carried along with my life like there was nothing wrong ,although I was always watching my back, but the more I acted like it didn't bother me the less and less I was bullied until finally it stopped. I had a great group of friends to stick by my side and I'm glad I took my life back into my own hands.
Bullying has impacted my little cousin so much hes considered quitting.
I was bullied through elementary and middle school. It was never as bad as now a days. Very sad how people have grown more evil with time
I am a teacher so it impacts my life daily, I teach tolerance kindness and that bullying will not be tolerated
I was bullied when I was younger. There are people that I work with that are bullies too, but I don't put up with it like I did before. I stand up for myself.
It's not just children who bully, adults can also bully. As a child, I witnessed it (and experienced it first-hand). It's sad that another's insecurities or need for power is taken out on the innocent.
I have always been bullied, from elementary school to even now. It has made it hard to have any kind of good self confidence, and I am sick of it. When I have children, I will do everything to make sure they do not bully.
Always looking on the outside and not being sociable. To this day I still wonder what it's like on the inside and I'm 59 yrs young...:(
I was bully as a kid around the kids because I was part of the smart kids and they always try to take my homeworks or book away to get me in trouble
I was bullied as a child and it caused a lot of problems for me. It definitely impacted my life for the worse and I realize how much it hurts others. Thanks for the giveaway!
I was bullied as a high schooler. I use that to enforce he importance of manners and good behavior with my students
It has not inpacked my life like it does the younger generation. My grandson defended a boy in is class because he was being bullied and the teacher supsended the bully and praised my grand son and then reminded him fighting is wrong to go get a teacher next time
My daughter was bullied in high school. It was an awful experience to see and help her get through. We made and now she is stronger than ever!!
I was constantly picked on throughout school for my thick glasses and for being super tiny. I hated going to school! But I just assumed that it was part of growing up. Fast forward to today -- bullying doesn't have to be part of growing up. I'd hate to see my kids feel as bad about themselves as I did. I've tried my best to instill self-worth in each of them, but since I can't follow them around all day long, I can't be sure they believe what I say instead of what someone else might say.
It makes people miserable and not want to talk to anybody.
I was bullied at school because of my appearance and clothes and it made me a very self conscious person as I matured. Now being much older I am quite different and have much more self esteem. I know of others that were not so lucky.
I was bullied in grade school and because of that I know how it feels and I am always talking to my boys about it.I do not allow my boys to be mean to anyone:)
I like the school my daughter goes to if they even look like they might be bullying another kid. they get talked to by one of the administration.
I was bullied in grade school because of my name. My senior year in school I directed a play to show how bad bullying is and how it could lead to school shootings.
i was bullied when i went to school also.people have not changed in 38 years and i wish they would it was so hurtful to me that i did not like going to school and i loved school.i have never bullied anyone and i have always tried to get others not to do it.it brings you down so much you feel as you are nothing or that is how i felt all those years ago and i still think about it today
my granddaughter was being bullied at school...they moved away, she is now in a different school, but I don't get to see them, theyre too far away
I was bullied in school but my biggest regret was bullying one boy in middle school.
What a fantastic cause!
people hurt my feelings and bullied me on facebook
people pulle d my hair in jr high
When I was very young, I used to encounter several bullies on my way home from school. It made me afraid of walking alone.
