The children are all back to school now some with new clothes, new backpacks, new teachers and so much more. For some the homework has already begun but here at our house it hasn’t happened yet as this will be the first full week of school. I keep asking my daughter if she has any homework yet and so far none which has been a nice break.
However the homework is coming soon and I want to be here to support my daughter however we can. I hear all the time from her teachers in the past that she’s smart and capable but homework for her is at the bottom of her list. All too often it falls to the wayside and then she has to catch up and the crying starts and she has to console me lol. Seriously though I understand not wanting to do homework but it needs to be done and I’ve been thinking of ways to help encourage her.
I think it’s always good to have some handy learning aids, fun activities that help them to learn and more. It was wonderful to see that on the Scholastic website they had such learning aids as different grad math sheets. They have anywhere from first grade, second grade math worksheets up to 8th grade! My daughter does well at Math if she’s not rushed but she don’t always remember her multiplication tables by heart so practicing them would go a long way to helping her in Math.
I also love that Scholastic has an online Family Playground for parents and kids ages 3-7 remember learning has to be fun too and of course Scholastic has fun learning materials for reading, language arts and so much more.
I’m sure almost every parent has heard of Scholastic so if you get a chance stop by and check out all the wonderful things they have to offer.
