It's never too early to teach kids about car safety - #MyCarDoesWhat4Me
Dashboard Blitz is a game that makes it fun for kids & adults to learn about car safety.
What do your kids know about car safety? I thought this was a good question to not only ask my friends but myself. My daughter is 14 years old which means she's only a couple of years away before she can get her learners permit. I thought to myself that I could refresh (and learn a few things too) my knowledge of car safety while at the same time my daughter could learn too.
I was excited to learn about Dashboard Blitz that makes it fun for everyone to learn about car safety techniques. My daughter is a tech like myself and like her dad she's a gamer. An app that is a game was perfect for my gamer girl. She loaded up the app on our iPad Mini and settled on the couch to play this game.
My daughter said it was easy to figure out what you needed to do when you started to go through the Dashboard Blitz. She told me that she didn't realize until this app that there were so many things to consider and know about when it came to car safety. She liked learning about the latest car safety technology especially the back-up camera and blind spot monitor, she thought those were the coolest things to have in a vehicle.
I asked her if the game was fun. Her response that it was a good game because it made learning fun. Playing games in my daughters opinion is always fun and hey if at first they don't realize it's educational that's okay, they're learning whether they know it or not. You, the kids and anyone you know can check out Dashboard Blitz too. For downloads: iOS - vrl.ht/iOSBlitz & Android - vrl.ht/AndroidBlitz
It also got me thinking about how I could add some new safety features to my older vehicle. I'd love to be able to add a back-up camera and blind spot monitors to my minivan. If you're car is five years young or less you have options. Check out this great article HERE for an overview.
Don't forget to download for FREE Dashboard Blitz and try it out yourself and/or with the kids! It's great for kids ages 4 years and up.

How great is this! My 14-yr-old is currently in Drivers Education. He gets to drive with me 50 hours before being able to apply for his first year license. The is have some great eye-openers for him!
Car safety is so important. Lots of adults could benefit from this app also. I will have to share this with my kids
Definitely a great idea especially for teens about to be in the driver's seat.
