Children can have fun AND learn at the same time!
Summer vacation is about having fun but I know some parents worry that those two months away off from school will put some children behind come time for school to start. What child though wants to "learn" over their summer holidays or for that matter any time of the year? Well Tropic Mind is a wonderful solution as kids will have fun, they love it (they really do) and they won't really know they're learning but you will!
Children can learn Physics, Biology, Geometry, World History, Ecology & Recycling, Math and so much more in this fun and safe virtual world. They also learn about taking care of animals, feeding, cleaning them and all the responsibilities that go with it but in a fun and engaging manner.

I put this software to the ultimate test I gave it my daughter 10 year old Sian, computer games expert/addict. The child who wants nothing to do with anything "school" like during her downtime let alone Summer vacation! I knew Sian would be hard to please as she has played so many video and computer games and she has her favorites of course so she is picky when it comes to games.
They have so many fun ways to learn things like this Food Guide Pyramid. It's just one of many examples of how they creatively "teach" children.
Sian loved Tropic Mind! What she liked were the different animals that "teach" you things but what she loved was how she could create her own island and what was on it and so much more. I believe she created the Isle of Sian :). One Sian's other favorite activities on Tropic Mind was selecting and caring for her own pet. Even though we have a cat and 2 dogs at home she still loved this activity and would jump up remembering she had to go back to the computer to "feed" her dog!
You have to love how it nurtures their imaginations where as aptly described on the Tropic Mind site "kids can even design things of their dreams and express themselves without limits!" Now that is the kind of fun while sneaking in some educational opportunities that will capture the attention of children!
For the peace of mind of parents Tropic Mind of course has safety rules in place and in fact "kid's safety comes first" is their mantra. There is also a free version of Tropic Mind which still provides a lot of fun for the children with the paid versions just having more and more options. Even the paid versions are so reasonable.
Check out their Parent's Page to find out more about Tropic Mind and how they engage children through educational fun. It will be worth the visit and your kids will love it too!
Michelle & Sian give Tropic Mind a 2 thumbs up for engagement, creativity and being a wonderful educational platform for children.
