About the Series
The Up North Adventure series is based on the author’s experiences exploring the lakes of Hayward and Minong, Wisconsin. Filled with action and fun anecdotes, the series will keep even the most reluctant reader turning the page.
The series includes, Muskie Attack (Book 1), Ancient Elk Hunt (Book 2) and Snakehead Invasion (Book 3).
About the Author
G. M. Moore is a former newspaper writer, editor and columnist. The author grew up battling game fish on the lakes of northern Wisconsin. During the summer months, you can still find the Chicago-area author up north and out on the lake.
Powered by Mom’s Recommendation
This wonderful series that starts book #1 Muskie Attack is targeted for children ages 9-12 but in my opinion it’s an excellent read for any age and for boys and girls. The series centers around 10 year old Corbett Griffith III whose parents have divorced and have very busy careers in Chicago where they don’t seem to have enough time for their son. Corbett’s mom sends him off Whispering Pines Lodge, to his Uncle Dell who makes him feel not so alone as well as his new found friend Pike. It becomes a summer of adventure, a bit of suspense and perhaps a glimpse of pre-teen crushes.
If you want to encourage someone to read, buy the books now, you can get them on Amazon below or Barnes & Noble, CreateSpace, Google Play and iTunes. The 2nd book of the series Ancient Elk Hunt was an award finalist (from ForWord Reviews)
My 11 year old daughter has started to read the first book in the series Muskie Attack and so far she is loving it! I can tell because she told me so 🙂 but also as I’ve watched her reading she’s so engrossed in the book she barely notices anything else. I read a few pages myself one night when she went to bed but the next day my daughter came looking for the book so now I have to wait. I was really getting into the book myself so that is one of the many reasons why I can see I think anyone who loves to read would most likely enjoy this series no matter what their gender or age.
These books are perfect gift any time of the year and theyget powered by mom’s stamp of approval for a great read!
Now for the fun enter the giveaway for your chance at this wonderful series of books and remember to only claim the entries you followed through on. We will verify the winner’s entries.
