About the Vestopia Mom's Utility Vest

The Mom's Utility Vest allows you to have a day out where you can leave all the bags behind and keep your hands free! It has pockets designed into the vest that will hold everything you would need in a diaper bag and your purse! It works perfectly with the ERGObaby, BabyBjorn and other popular baby carriers. It's more than just for replacing your diaper bag though, it's cute, perfect for travelling, going out for the day or even just out for a walk! I love my Vestopia mom's utility vest and in fact I have two of them! I have both a small utility vest in my favorite color the black with the pink hibiscus lining in a small and the French blue/navy in a medium. You don't really need to have two different sizes but I liked the idea for a few reasons. The small size is a nice fitted vest for me where I can wear a t-shirt or thinner long sleeve shirt under it for my walks and outings in the Spring and Summer. I often walk to my daughter's school to pick her up, go for long walks around the neighborhood and quick jaunts around town. I like a fitted look sometimes so for me the small one is perfect for this. The medium one allows me to have a sweater or sweatshirt underneath it for those cold days so that I can continue to go out on walks or even when I run up to the store. I would have been fine with just the medium which would allow me to do all of the above but who wouldn't want a couple of different colors of this wonderful vest!

The vest is simply amazing I can store whatever I need in it and don't have to lug around any handbags or anything else for that matter. Before when I would go to the school to pick up my daughter I was constantly trying to find a jacket that wasn't too bulky but had enough pockets to carry my keys, my iPhone and sometimes a lipgloss so my lips didn't chap and maybe a piece of identification. I like to listen to music as I'm walking so being able to put it in a pocket is ideal. As well when we're coming back home I'm usually carrying my daughter's backpack for her as I swear sometimes it ways more than she does so the less I have to carry going up the better!

I wish I had my Mom's utility vest when we went to Disneyworld a few years ago, it would have been perfect for all the days we spent at the various parks. We had to carry backpacks for our waters, identification and more and we really tried to cut down what we carried but still both my husband and I each carried a small backpack. Yes we could have purchased water and food but we were also trying to cut down on the costs. We could have put all of those things in my vest (yes really) along with a swimsuit and even a poncho for the wet water rides. The vests are simply amazing and yet when the pockets aren't full it's not bulky looking at all so you could literally wear it almost every day!

They also have kids utility vests (KUVVY) that are simply adorable, my daughter loves hers. You can read about them HERE. The mom's utility vest gets top marks from Powered by Mom for practicality, versatility and being such an innovative product created by a mom for moms!

  5. I like the black/hibiscus. The little pop of color is nice. I haven't carried a purse in years. I just stick things in everybody's pockets. Purses get in the way of quick grabs.

  11. Either color would work. Black or blue. Our heater keeps breaking...so it would be nice to have and extra layer to put on. Also would be useful when we go on walks as I'm always finding interesting rocks to pick up.

  13. I would LOVE the blk hibiscus. This vest is SUPER awesome and would come in SO handy. I would use it when I work/play with individuals with severe/multiple learning challenges. It would enable me to have all my toys/tools handy. I would also take it with me when I travel to do voluntourism with orphans and vulnerable children. Just think of the goodies and necessities I could carry with me.

  23. I am trying not to be so understated so I will choose the black/hibiscus. I don't carry a purse but I do need to carry some stuff - water and an epi-pen for sure and a book to protect others from my reaction to delays.

  25. I love the black hibiscus. With a 4 year old who picks up something every where we go - this would be so perfect for family outings - to carry snacks, camera, juice, phone, extra socks that will inevitably be needed, sunblock, sunglasses, issues, etc - it would be terrific to be hand free! Such a sense of freedom!
