My spring cleaning tip is to use the right cleaning chemical for the right job, because if it isn't right, it not only won't clean right, it may do damage to whatever it is that you are cleaning.
Start with one room at a time so you aren't overwhelmed and get rid of as much stuff and clutter in that room as you can before you clean it! Less stuff and less clutter makes for a lot less cleaning time and a better organized house!

To clean walls, I start with a clean sponge mop, making sure that excess water is squeezed out. It makes the job so much quicker and they're evenly cleaned. Just change the mop bucket water often. Especially if there's a smoker in the house.

My spring cleaning tip is to use an old gym sock to clean off ceiling fan blades. I pull the sock up over each blade, then shake it outside when I'm done.
