Powered by Mom has a Need for Speed!
The Dreamworks movie Need for Speed that is! I am BEYOND excited about the upcoming movie starring Aaron Paul, to be released in theaters everywhere March 14th in RealD, 3D and other large formats! There have been screenings of this highly anticipated movie the last few weeks.
Sadly I can’t make any of the dates for our local screenings so I have to wait until March 14th too and I’m just so excited. I loved Aaron Paul in Breaking Bad and have been dying to see him onscreen in something else and the Need for Speed will do very nicely indeed!
Aaron Paul, Scott Mescudi, and Director Scott Waugh introduced special advance screenings via live satellite of NEED FOR SPEED, in 100 theaters across North America and spoke to fans directly via Twitter chats from the theater in Burbank, CA. That must have been a ton of fun and certainly made the day if not the year of some fans. I know it would have made my year!
Sadly Aaron Paul is happily married (wait so am I LOL) and here’s a picture of him and his lovely wife at the Hollywood Red Carpet premier of this exciting movie.
More importantly well at least in my hubby’s opinion here’s a cool picture of one of the fast cars on the Red Carpet. Geez even cars get to go on the Red Carpet, maybe one day it will be me. Can you imagine, well I can sort of maybe well one can wish lol. At least I will go and watch this movie, how many days is it now to go FIVE eek seems like forever!
In case you’ve been living under a rock (just kidding) and don’t know what the movie is about or are like me and just can’t enough already here’s a sneak peek on the video below.
Cast: Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots, Ramon Rodriguez, Rami Malek, Scott Mescudi, Dakota Johnson, Harrison Gilbertson and Michael Keaton
Director: Scott Waugh
Producers: Patrick O’Brien, John Gatins, Mark Sourian
Executive Producers: Stuart Besser, Scott Waugh, Max Leitman, Frank Gibeau, Patrick Soderlund, Tim Moore
The film centers around Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul), a blue-collar mechanic who races muscle cars on the side in an unsanctioned street-racing circuit. Struggling to keep his family-owned garage afloat, he reluctantly partners with the wealthy and arrogant ex-NASCAR driver Dino Brewster (Dominic Cooper). But just as a major sale to car broker Julia Maddon (Imogen Poots) looks like it will save Tobey’s shop, a disastrous race allows Dino to frame Tobey for a crime he didn’t commit, and sending Tobey to prison while Dino expands his business out West.
Two years later, Tobey is released and set on revenge — but he knows his only chance to take down his rival Dino is to defeat him in the high-stakes race known as De Leon — the Super Bowl of underground racing. However to get there in time, Tobey will have to run a high-octane, action-packed gauntlet that includes dodging pursuing cops coast-to-coast as well as contending with a dangerous bounty Dino has put out on his car. With the help of his loyal crew and the surprisingly resourceful Julia, Tobey defies odds at every turn and proves that even in the flashy world of exotic super cars, the underdog can still finish first.
