The Village Project Giving Back & Making a Difference

There are moments when greatness speaks to us. Words of wisdom like those of Gandi, "Man becomes great exactly in the degree in which he works for the welfare of his fellow-men."

Words that inspire and motivate us to create something that pays that inspiration forward. For Mothers Organic it was an African proverb: "It takes a village to raise a child." From those words The Village Project was established with the purpose of giving back through sponsorships, community work, education and numerous giveaways; which include products from Mothers Organics “mama tested and approved” trusted partners.

"There are so many Mothers here at home in the United States that need our help. So many children who still do not have the everyday common necessities, such as clothing, food and diapers. It is our duty as people to give back. Our duty as fellow Mothers to extend a helping hand when another Mother is in need." – Kelly McKnight, co-founder of Mothers Organic

  1. I love that it focuses on the US. I agree that there is a lot of need in the world, but I also feel that it is important to take care of our own house first.

  7. The Village Project has the right idea, by helping one another rather than everyone waiting for the government's assistance.

  8. I like that they focus on helping local women and children vs. sending help/money/etc. overseas. We need to take care of our own first!

  10. I love entering giveaways, but when you run into one with such a great message it becomes more about finding that cause than it does actually entering the giveaway. I had never heard of The Village Project until this morning when I was entering your giveaway and it will be something that my family supports from now on. We have such a heart for helping people in need. God has blessed us with so much and we do our best to pay it forward as much as we possibly can. We coupon to feed others as well as ourselves and we support alot of mission projects overseas. But people just do not realize how many people, especially children, are starving in our own country! I have been one of those mothers who struggles for that next meal andI had someone reach out to me and extend that help that was so crucial at the time. that is what motivates me to help other mothers who are now in that position. It is our duty to help those people who are struggling. Thank you for introducing me to such a wonderful charity.

  12. I love that they sell nice hair and bath products (among other things) at reasonable prices, so anyone can help by buying some cool stuff from them without feeling like we have to spend a large amount of money when we aren't able to. I also love that money goes to help Mom's who need help in the United States.

  15. Hey Michelle, I think the Village Project is so wonderful because there are so many mother's struggling to raise their children especially in this economy. It's hard enough with 2 working parents. It wonderful that they can give hope to those who might be feeling hopeless.

    Thanks for a chance to win...Hugs… Tracy@CottonPickinCute
