Powered by Mom Blog loves popcorn, how about you?!
If you’re a regular reader of Powered by Mom then I’m sure you’ll have read how much I love popcorn. It’s one of my favorite snacks and one of the reasons I love it so much is it can be a healthy or an indulgent snack depending on how you make it.
You can of course put lots of butter and salt on it which I try not to do, it can be sweet and salty, it can be healthy well popcorn can be made almost anyway you want it to be. If you’re like me you have your popcorn supplies so that you can have your popcorn when you want it and how you want it. I love popcorn so much that we have a popcorn machine where I can have my popcorn made in a healthy fashion. Very little oil used when I make popcorn for myself as a healthy snack and I put just wee bit of butter and a little bit of sea salt. It’s delicious and curbs my craving for something salty without being bad for me. I make kettle corn if I want to satisfy a sweet craving and again it’s quite healthy compared to anything store bought as I control how much sugar goes on it.
We of course love to have popcorn in our house when we’re watching a movie, so much so that I bought a set of popcorn tubs (similar to the ones below) so that each member of my family could eat their popcorn the way that they want. My husband & daughter of course prefers a little more butter than I put on mine which is fine once in a while. Overall though their popcorn is a tasty but healthier version than most out there.
