Zevia the natural soda, zero calories & no artificial sweeteners!
Now how does that sound to you? Would you like a soda to drink where you didn’t have to worry about the calories and it didn’t have artificial sweeteners?
I bet you’d like it to taste good too right? Well then Zevia is the soda for you!
Soda. Pretty plain and simply, Zevia is soda but better. Zevia was created with the miracle ingredient, stevia, which makes it all natural and zero calories. Never any sugar or artificial sweeteners mean it’s a healthier soda for you and those that you love.
What is stevia?
A miracle plant. We think so anyway. Stevia is a little green plant from the sunflower family and originally native to South America. The stevia leaf is up to 300x sweeter than sugar but has no caloric value or effect on blood sugar levels. Super safe? Yes. Sweet? Yes. Worthy of a trophy? We think so. For more info on stevia click here.
I was very excited when I received my 2 six packs of Zevia soda. Each six pack had 6 different flavors. I received the cola (caffeine free), grape, cream soda, grapefruit/citrus & the Mountain Zevia (like Mountain Dew). I was excited about receiving these sodas as I was very curious to know what they would taste like. I have been using stevia (the natural sweetener in Zevia sodas) for about a year now. Stevia is a wonderful product, I love it and I use it in place of sugar for many, many things. My family didn’t even know the difference when I switched.I was really curious to find out how stevia would taste in a soda.
Here’s what I loved:
The fact that Zevia’s soda are natural. In their opinion it means this: natural means nothing fake, phony or artificial. No artificial sweeteners, colors, junk. Only the good soda stuff. None of the bad. We use only the best ingredients to make our beverages. So you can drink this diet soda knowing it’s been made with love and care.
The caffeine-free cola was the first one I tried. It’s also the only one that had coloring in it. The rest are all clear which I think is pretty darn cool. Also when you go read the ingredients you’ll see that there’s not a ton of ingredients listed (which is good) and you can pronounce them all (even better). Surprisingly I liked the taste of the cola. Why do I say surprisingly because I don’t like diet sodas of any kind. I’ve never cared for that taste that aspartame leaves behind let alone the worrisome things that people say about aspartame. Even other diet pops that supposedly don’t have aspartame in them I didn’t care for at all. As stated on the Zevia site, the cola both caffeine-free one and the regular one have a citrus/spicy flavor but it’s in no way over-powering and no aspartame after taste because there isn’t any in Zevia sodas 🙂
I’ve now tried all the flavors and I loved the cola (although I’d love to try the regular one as I need the caffeine) and the cream soda the best. Grape was pretty good too and the others weren’t bad but I’m not a huge grapefruit or Mountain dew fan with other sodas so it’s no surprise these weren’t my favorites either. Some do have a slightly different taste then you would find with the regular full of sugar and other chemicals sodas. It’s not a bad taste it’s just slightly different which is probably should be since they don’t have all the “crap” in them and have a natural sweetener. I’m going to be looking for the sodas here near home as I am dying to try the orange soda (orange is my favorite next to cola) and of course the regular cola.
One lucky winner will receive a voucher for a 6 pack of Zevia soda. You will be able to try it for yourself and have some yummy soda that you don’t have to feel guilty about drinking.
