Zojirushi Rice Cooker and Warmer Review

in Appliances for the Home Small and Large on 11/25/16

Zojirushi Rice Cooker and Warmer Review

The Zojirushi Rice Cooker and Warmer will be your new favorite appliance.

The Zojirushi Rice Cooker and Warmer is a Powered by Mom Holiday Gift Guide Top Pick

While working on our For the Home section of our gift guide this year I was given the opportunity to work with Zojirushi, a company based out of Japan, and the fun part about it was that they were a brand that I remember having in my home while growing up. My mom always had a Zojurishi rice cooker in the house during my growing up years, they made the best rice. It was great to be able to bring the brand back into our home as my daughter is a huge fan of rice and likes for us to eat brown as often as possible.

zojirushi rice cooker and warmer

The NS-ZCC10 Zojirshi rice cooker would make a great addition to any kitchen this holiday season, especially if you have a family member or two that are big rice fans. I remember having perfectly cooked, fluffy rice every time with the Zojirushi and I’m happy to report that the NS-ZCC10 Zojurishi rice cooker and warmer lives up to its predecessors reputation. It even has a special setting meant just for brown rice which was great for my daughters preferences!

zojirushi-rice-cooker-uncooked-rice

This particular model rice cooker features advanced Neuro Fuzzy logic technology, which allows the cooker to think for itself and make the needed adjustments in terms of temperature and heating time. This “artificial intelligence” so to speak, guarantees perfectly cooked rice every time.

zojirushi-rice-cooker-on

Just use the measuring cups they provide to measure the rice, add in the corresponding amount of water and it does the rest. Well you do have to rinse the rice yourself but it’s just so easy to you. Select the rice or porridge setting you want and it does the work for you. Our reice is never too moist or too dry it seriously is perfect every time.

I think I’ll make some porridge with my Zojirushi Rice Cooker & Warmer tomorrow!

Additional features of the NS-ZCC10 include:

  •  Automatic keep warm, extended keep warm and reheating cycle
  • Spherical inner cooking pan and heating system
  • Delay timer
  • Built-in retractable power cord
  • Delay timer with 2 settings
  • Menu settings that include white (regular/sushi, softer or harder) mixed, porridge, sweet, semi-brown, brown and rinse-free.

It’s always fun to reconnect with brands that you grew up with and know they’re still going strong providing you with appliances that withstand the test of time. Having the ZCC10 has made my daughter very happy, so, I know it’ll be getting plenty of use from here on out.

I really like that it uses Fuzzy Logic to calculate adjustments itself. I expect that would make it a lot easier if you wanted to cook different grains or varieties of rice. I love rice and don’t mind making a big batch to reheat in the microwave for a few days.

my son is not a chef by no means…BUT he loves rice and soon he will be leaving home and I would love to give this to him because then he could make PERFECT RICE all the time. Even he couldn’t mess up with the instructions inside the bowl area. He also loves sushi so he could make the rice and try making his own sushi. I love that the rice is perfect all the time. even I burn the bottom sometimes and I am a very good cook.

I like that it has a large display easily readable area on the front the most. Also the buttons don’t look tiny like on other rice cookers. I think we would eat healthier more often if I had one of these on the countertop. It would be right there so no excuses not to use it more often.

Great photos. I’m really curious about trying the porridge setting. Also, I like the automatic adjustments. My kitchen can be scorching hot or downright chilly depending on what’s going on and what time of year it is. It’s nice that the rice cooker will make little adjustments for me based on things like the ambient temp.

the Zojirushi Rice Cooker and Warmer has a more space age look I like. I’ve never used any kind of rice cooker so I can’t compare it to anything. I’d love to make fluffy white rice as compared to the sticky, burnt rice I made in my slow cooker. It’s going to become a staple in our home so I need more recipes other than my chicken and rice I used to be so good at making. I remember Ricky Ricardo on I Love Lucy eating rice with milk for breakfast, I actually like it myself. Maybe a little cinnamon and brown sugar now. But it will definitely be used daily here if I had it.

We took both of our dogs with us and we think we broke them 😆 #CleoTheDog & #NyxTheDog were both soooo tired by around 8:30pm each night that they would go to our trailer door & look at ys waiting to be let in 😁 while we continued to enjoy our campfire 🔥It was great to unplug there is no cell service let alone internet where we go so we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. We are lucky to live in #BeautifulBC.
