I'm actually really horrible at reducing stress, but hitting the treadmill does help at times.
I walk or do a specific task like weed the flowers or clean a closet. Often what stresses me the most are situations I have no control over. So I distract and calm some of the stress by focusing on something I can control

Living in beautiful Kawartha Lakes we are fortunate to be a stones throw from rivers, streams ponds and lakes. Sitting on the banks of a river, listening to the birds, frogs and insects along with the gentle lap of the water on the shoreline is very relaxing.
I try anything. Music, meditate, pet my dog, or take a hot bath.
To redusce stress I go for a walk, do some stretching or play with our pets.
